We currently have a Eureka Central Vac in our motorhome. We are just curious as to whether the Dirt Devil or the Eureka are a better central vac. Does anyone have an opinion as to which one is better?

Can't say which is better as I have never used the Eureka. I do have the Dirt Devil unit and love it. It is installed in the basement and plumed to an outlet under the fridge. If it ever fails, I will buy another one.

Our 5er has a dirt devel and my wife has no complaints about it except that she has to use it. It seems to work fine and we have not had any problems with it.

We installed a Dirt Devil in our last moho. After a few months or so of use, my wife decided she didn't like it because of dragging the hose around. Apparently it was difficult because of the way the hose stretches and is always trying to retract itself. When we bought another coach I asked if she wanted another one installed and she said no, she'd rather use a small light weight vac., along with a portable handheld.

We have the Eureka and thought it was doing a great job until using the vac from the house. Suprised us how much came out of the carpet etc. For its intended use (on the road) it does a OK job.

We have a Eureka. Doesn't get used because hose is a pain. We now have a Roomba which we turn on once a day when we go out. Works great and gets the carpet cleaner than the Eureka. I now have three. Two in the stick house and one in the coach. Could not recommend them more highly.
