Replacing ignition relay fuse on circuit board

I have 1998 Holiday Rambler Endeavor. I believe that the ignition relay fuse is soldered on the circuit board. I need to replace it. How can I take it off and re solder the new one? I didn't know it was soldered and while pulling on it broke it thanks so much Frank. I'm a newbee.

Do you own a soldering iron? If so the job should be simple but if it was me, I'd go to an automotive parts store and pick up a blade type fuse holder with with short wires attached and solder that in place of the old style fuse. After that the fuse will be replaceable just like any other fuse. Just make sure the holder and fuse are rated the same as the original fuse.

Post a picture please.

Find someone that can solder. I often tear components apart carefully with cutters and then remove the pins one by one. It is much easier to get one pin out versus trying to heat or clear multiple holes.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Back in the my early days of electronics service a lot of the small glass fuses were soldered to the circuit boards. They made a piggy-back clip that would snap on the blown fuse and you could insert a new fuse into it. I just did a search and couldn't find it. I guess there are not enough soldered-in fuses these days!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Can you provide a picture of this. I find it very unusual that a fuse would be soldered to a board. I do find from time to time, when a bad overload happens and the fuse's connection resistance is a bit higher than it should be that the fuse can 'weld' itself in.

If you post a picture I suspect someone (or I) can help you, but until at least I'm confused!

Thanks everyone. It's the relay fuse. It's the larger square one. Holiday Rambler said its soldered. Seems odd to me too. I'll keep yall posted. We have a friend who does machine work and says he can fix it. He's coming Saturday
