I am going to change the tv's in my 2006 Monaco Monarch SE to newer flat screen versions. The front overhead tv has two screws on the bottom area of the cabinet frame covered by wooden plugs. These I can get out with no problem. Where else is there screws holding this face? Are they concealed inside the cabinet? Just removing the screws I can see will not allow the facings to be removed. Anyone have a similar coach set up tht can help? Thanks in advance. John 2006 Monaco Monarch SE

On mine, I just kept removing the plugs on all sides until the tv fell out onto the floor. (true story)

The face trim/frame also has a few screws put in from the back side. On my TV I am sure they put the TV in through the back. If you have the 26 Flat screen it will be held in to the cabinet with 2 or 3 screws on each side in the allum frame that the TV is mounted to. Just remove the vent cover in the rear, disconnect the wiring, have someone help you hold the tv, remove the 4-6 screws in the allum frame. Then just remoe the TV through the back. That is the way it was put in. Once the tv is out you will see the additional screws.

I was able to reuse the Allum frame on my new sony. I just had to drill new hole (Mount to TV) measure twice, drill once. I also used a roto zip tool to cut new vent holes where needed in the allum frame.

On my unit I had to remove, rip into, and replace the top wood mount that the frame/trim mounts to. I also had to remove the bottom 3/4 strip on the bottom plate that the old tv set on. I was then able to reinstall the TV through the front, had a buddy hold it in place while I installed the hold in screws in the Allum frame. I still have to do some work on the face/trim before I put it back on, but I hope to get it all done this weekend.

Just a note, to do it this way I had to remove the two lights from the bottom of the TV Box, I am going to install 4" speaker covers over the holes.

Hope this helps you out.

Mine was held in place by 3 screws that went through the bottom of the cabinet and into a plywood base that was attached to the tv. Those screws had gold colored plastic covers over them.

The trim piece on the front of the tv was held in place by 4 screws.

Be careful---that old tv is awkward and heavy. It's a 2 person job.
