Look around the batteries. It could be laying there or hooked to neg.

They may want the sense wire close to the battery.

With saying that, I don't see why you couldn't hook it up the way you propose.

Thank you Twinbird. You were right on. After talking with the BIRD tech rep and Thor, I cut the red wire and measured the voltage. It read 12.1v when the coach batteries read 12.6 and it stayed 12.1 when I plugged in and the coach batteries went to 13.6. I don't know what Thor wired it to, but it was not the house batteries. I connected the BIRD red wire directly to the coach battery post on the Trombetta, via a 5 amp fuse and the Trombetta opened and both the coach and chassis batteries are charging on shore power. Thanks for your help.
