I can only speak to my ISC Cummins engine. However you are limited by the input HP/torque rating of your Allison transmission. You will get many more responses if your question is in the Cummins engine forum, but since the majority of diesel pushers use Cummins, owners are everywhere on irv2.com.

When chipping an engine there are some concerns.

Some companies, Such as Banks or Ultra power, work very hard to insure their product is good and will do no damage to the engine.

Some companies won't be there when the engine blows up because they did NOT do the research needed and damaged your engine.

Make sure you buy a chip from a reputable chipper. not a Fly-By-Night. and with the exceptions named above (Both good companies) I can not tell you about any other company in the business.

For the best fuel mileage just slow down, it will increase drastically from 65 to 60 that is my max.

This is a thread I started last year. Do a search using chip in the search field. Use "Digi" in the search field for more specifics on the one I am using. I am extremely pleased.

You may find this thread on wandering issues helpful. Don't know your chassis model but if it is a Roadmaster it might be helpful.
