City Water Inlet Check Valve Replacement

I was able to find an exact replacement for the water inlet check valve. The other check valves I looked at had longer valve bodies, and much higher release pressure on the valve. I don't know that is a bad thing, but I think the lighter release pressure is better when inlet pressure is low.

I found the replacement through the RV Water Filter Store - http://www.rvwaterfilterstore.com
They had some similar parts listed, so I sent an email off. They were able to track it down and ordered a few in. They were $15.00 and they are very reasonable with shipping costs.

I think I may order another to put inline with the tank sprayers. I don't like all the backwash out of that when I disconnect it. I think this valve will be perfect for that.

I have these in line w/the waste tank flush lines. Make sure the valve stem is properly installed inside the valve body. I had one valve stem pop loose & it sticks the valve shut. The spring & valve (looks just like a mini plastic engine valve) were still in the valve body, so I was able to reassemble it properly. IIRC it has to snap in place.
You can also get a PVC version at a plumbing supply, but they are much longer so if you are trying to fit an existing assembly the OEM part is better.

Kevin,
Good find and based on the hassle you have had it sounds like a good idea to carry a spare. I also don't like the backwash from the sprayers and it sounds like this check valve may stop the dribbling into the water bay.
