It is just the cap. It does not require perfection. Can't even tell on my rattle can project.

It started on top where it couldn't be seen. It has gradually worked down so that it is now obvious when looking at the rear of the MH. I won't spend a lot of money fixing it, but was hoping there was something simple I could do myself!

I chose the rattle can $4.99 solution .....but it just doesn't work! It is just a stop gap solution that looks like an amateur job. In my case no sooner had I got one area from spreading and another would appear .....until I realized that the original clear coat had pretty much reached it's "best buy date". Besides the clear coat is toxic and I could see no logical reason to continue risking my health over a loosing solution?

Your situation may be different..... but please be real careful with the rattle spray cans of clear coat unless you've got professional breathing gear, face mask and protective clothing.......there is a very good reason why this is a job for the professionals or talented hobbyist.

Guess I'm a talented hobbyist. Buy a good duplicolor clear and set up a fan if you are afraid of fumes. If you want to get fancy you can get some PPG two part epoxy paint and do some color sanding.

I painted an airplane I built. I painted it in the driveway. Never painted anything before that. Had a friend show me some tricks but nothing magic or that requires a specialist.

Search youtube and I bet you can find lots of helpful hints.
