I have a Diplomat 24 footer and need to know if anyone can give me a good guess as to where the upper clearance lights are fed their initial power from. The lower running lights all work as do signals and backups but the upper lights don't light. I want to check if the problem is a broken wire or just old body grounds and it would be easiest (to my mind anyway) starting with the first power fed light and then progressing all around the unit.
I hate so I figured it would be easier to ask.

TIA Dennis

Hi Dennis,
Consider posting this question in the Monaco (I think) owners forum. The answer is unique to your brand and model of coach.

You might want to try a long jumper wire, first connected to ground, and test the lights. Then try hooking the jumper to power if that doesn't work. Sometimes you can lose the ground at one and they're daisy chained. Others have pulled the excess wire out through one of the clearance light holes and tapped back into the wiring harness to bypass a broken wire.

The information sheet inside my unit claims it was built by Lethbridge Industries in Lethbridge, Alberta. I will repost to the Monaco list if this will help, thanks.

Was what I was thinking of doing. I was just cheating a bit and seeing if anyone knew which light was the start unit of that daisy-chain that will get the power up there in the first place.
I wonder if jumper feeding from the battery to one of the lights would activate anything and indicate that the problem is really the feed wire?
