I went out to leave tonight and the motor home wont start. When I turn the key the volt meter on the dash indicated just over 12 volts and with the key turned to start it reads under 12 and the motor does nothing. No click or turning of the motor. Pushing the battery boost does not change anything. I last started the coach Monday and ran it for 15 min and everything was OK. I have never had problems with the chassis batteries or starting. We just finished a trip to the keys from illinois and no problems the whole way. Since we have returned I have been plugged into shore power.
Things I have tried. I took all the connections off and cleaned them and put dielectric grease on them. I had done this earlier this year when I bought it. The water level is good. I tested the batteries and they have 900 CCA each. I also took them out and had a shop test the catteries and they found the same thing 900 CCA with a 40 amp load. I have tried rotating the cut off switch multiple times and no change. I also hooked the the motor home up to my truck (it has a dual battery system and there was no change to the problem.
Any ideas on what i need to do next. I am supposed to be at the track now.
Mat

Some further info, I just tried to start the generator and it would not start either. It will turn over and almost start but wont run. If I prime the generator it still wont start.
I also noticed when I first turn the key and wait for the wait to start light to go out the low fuel light goes out but when I turn the key to start it comes back on.
Could I be having a fuel problem? Or would the motor try to turn over if it was not getting fuel. Also wouldnt that set a warning light and a code?

I thought maybe you had the P-32 ignition switch problem, but the 'Wait to Start' and the generator problem kinda throws a monkey wrench in that theory.
What chassis do you have?

Mat, Check your battery to Ground connections. The chassis Ground may be corroded.

Your generator won't start if your fuel level is too low....I think it is under 1/4 tank....

Well I made it through the weekend. I have removed all of the hot and ground connections at the batteries and the starter, and chassis. It has started multiple time so far but the generator still will not start.
The generator has been giving me problems since I bought the coach but never not starting. Some of the time it will shut off after a few min of running setting a code 24 (no temp change in the first 5 min of running). So it would appear I have two problems.
