I suppose this question has been answered (probably a million times) somewhere, but I can't find it via a "search". So.....

We have an 09 Cayman, 35 SBD, and the Bedroom TV has a flaky connection somewhere. The Main Salon Television works perfectly when connected to Cable or off Roof Antenna. Bedroom reception is only good off the roof antenna. When connected to Cable, all channels have a degraded signal..... fuzzy and even non-existent in comparison to the front television. Bottom line..........there has to be a splitter hidden somewhere. Does anyone have a clue as too where the "secret" access panel might be? Toilet bowl?.....tires?.....etc. Thank You

If you have an Antenna booster switch that is the wall plate type press the small black button located on the front of the plate. A green LED should turn off. You should then have good cable reception on the rear TV.

Make sure antenna booster is off as above..In my selector box, if anyone presses antenna, it turns on the ant booster..so make sure box does not have antenna boost pushed anywhere....check connection on back of selector box (usually up front) and make sure cable is tight on the back of the box going to the bedroom...also check screw in connection of cable to back of TV..

Last ditch effort...find where cable comes into coach by selector box...connect that with a double female connector directly to rear tv and see if that does it...if it does, the selector box is bad.

Thanks so much guys for your input and jogging my thought processes! Yes, I'm familiar with the Antenna Boost......and now, as I think about it, thats EXACTLY what the bedroom TV signal looks like with boost "off" and house cable selected.....(well, maybe not THAT bad) Hmmm? The bedroom TV is not getting the "switched" signal back to cable! ....or theres another boost switch hidden someplace.....or theres an un-terminated exterior connection. Naw, I would have found it by now. Next step, I'll remove the main terminal panel (spooky) and do a better inspection of all the connectors. Hopefully Monaco labeled the cables After that, Bullydogs, ..........I'll do your "last ditch" effort Much appreciated guys Uh oh :(........I just remembered, I already did pull the boost plate off and checked those connections :( I'll do it again and swap the cables..........see if the "Main" TV goes bad. That might tell me something.
cheers

Jpat.....If I'm reading this correctly and they haven't changed how they supply the cable to the rear bedroom, you should only have one cable that runs to the bedroom. The signal is switched from antenna, cable and sat at your front box. If this is the case, the cable is fine and you have an issue with your switchbox. Pull it down and tighten the cable connections (lightly) with a wrench.

agree with Diplomat Don. Problem is probably in your switchbox. To make sure, bypass the switchbox by connecting incoming cable signal at rear of switchbox directly to rear TV cable with a female barrel coax connector. Since rear TV cable run is probably good, just need a female barrel at back of switchbox to check it. Sometimes you can disassemble switchbox and clean the switches with contact cleaner. A female barrel coax connector is very handy at times. Good Luck
