I have a 2000 la palma on a ford chasis, the service engine soon light is on, my mechanic cannot find the port to check the codes I called monaco, the ford dealers and they could not help. Any ideas? Raybornh

Take the shrouds off the bottom portion of the steering column on the right side. It's there.

Drifter, I have taken the shroud off the steering column but still have not found the port. I will look again tomorrow but would welcome any other input.
A big Thanks to Drifter. Raybornh

There is a black plastic cover over the port, that's why it is hard to find.

Drifter I am new at this and don't know if you got my reply. I took the shroud loose and it would have been a perfect place for it but could not find, my mechanic also looked there any other ideas, and thanks for trying. raybornh

You don't have to take any shroud off. It is just to the right of the steering column.

Raybornh, No need to be embarrassed, I'm sure that someone told me also where it was. I believe all questions need answers big or small.
