This is a new one for us. The brake lights and turn indicators on our 05 HR Neptune worked just fine. When we hooked up the Jeep everything worked except the right brake light on the Jeep. Bill proceeded to check the wiring. There was no power on the brake light feed on the motorhome "trailer light" hook up. We methodically tested all the lights and the right indicator came on but did not flash. Now when you step on the brake the right indicator lights but does not flash on the dash and the back up camera shifts to the right turn image. We checked and replaced the fuse and both relays. I think we have a gremlin!! Has anyone had this problem? If we can't solve it are there any recomendations for a good service center in the Long Beach, Orange County area of So. Calif. We have used M&M Coach in Chino and have been pleased, but are open to any good references.
Thanks for any reply.

Not sure if I read the symptoms correctly but sounds like this only happens when you hook up the jeep? If correct, start w/the jeep.

FWIW If I understand correctly, this only happens when the Jeep is connected. I have had similar problems when I rewired the the connector on the Toad. I had it mirror image backwards. It caused cross wireing that was very confusing. If both units work okay when disconnected then it is your connection.

Sorry. We must have both been working on an answer at the same time.

Was this the first time you ever hooked up the Jeep? Did you ever have anther toad hooked up before? How did you fix the "No power at the Brake on the coach?

Have you had a lot of rain? Moisture in a plug can cause a short and drive you crazy. Did you redue any connections? Do you use Bulb Grease? A bulb can provide an internal short to ground. make sure All bulbs are working properly, No Slight Glow when Off.

This is really mind boggeling. We wired a new plug on the motorhome side, matching the existing code. We completely disconnected the jeep. The right indicator in the coach is the problem. Turn on ignition, step on the brake and the right indicator comes on with no flashing and the back up camera switches to the right turn view. We have been towing this jeep on our old Southwind and on the 05 Holiday Rambler since 2003 and never have had a problem. We wired the original hook up ourselves and it has worked fine all these years. We live in Southern California and we did have unusual rain for us, but not for the rest of the country. We checked the bulbs and they work fine. We double checked the wiring and know it is not mirrored (we did that once so are very aware of that problem). We can not fathom the wiring done at the factory when the coach was built and wonder if there might be a short in the original configuration.

Since we had a left brake on the Jeep and both left and right on the coach, we decided to forego the hook up until everything else was working. So we didn't get to solving that problem. But now maybe it is connected.

FWIW I think the coach problem is that you are back feeding the brake light power to the directional. If the power goes through the flasher it will flash. Check and make sure you do not have any loose wire strand jumpering between pins. Use a magnifying glass and plenty of light. I had a tiny piece of wire, hidden within bulb grease, shorting out two pins one time that drive me nuts. Are you checking the plug end with a meter or a test light? I would start at the back of the coach removing one wire at a time and seeing what worked properly.

rambler05.....Someone here can probably help, but we need you to start from the beginning. I'm sure the coach didn't always have this problem. Talking about just the coach......when did this turn signal issue start. Was it when you rewired the plug?

We had something like that happen to us once, it turned out to be a bad fuse that seemed to work sometimes....although I don't think thats possible. We replaced it and it has been working for a long time now. It was in this panel in the rear curb side compartment.
