Coolant Leak Problem

I went over to my 2001 Dynasty today and I noticed a small puddle in the front of the Motorhome on the ground to the right of the Generator slide out. I slid underneath, it was coolant fluid. I looked up and saw a coolant hose which appears to be a Heater Hose going to the Heater core leaking a small amount of fluid ( it could be from above). This seems to be a 3/4" red hose, it was wet with some fluid dripping not enough to watch but there was about 5-6 ozs on the ground. When I last checked the coolant was protected to -20. I have not moved or started the engine but we have had temps to 12 degrees.
I cannot work on it now but I would like to prepare. My question is: Is that in fact a heater hose, this hose was bundled above the Gen with some other asst wires and hoses, is there a heater control valve in that area? If there is a heater control valve in that location does any one know where to find one? If it is the hose only and the rest of the hose is good I probably will try to repair it with a inner sleeve til I can replace the complete hose.
Has anyone experienced a Control valve leaking from that area?
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Robert

Do you happen to have an Aqua-Hot system in your coach? I have two hoses in that area that have Aqua-Hot coolant inside each one. I haven't looked for the actual dash heater hoses to see where they might be located but will do that today and get back to you. It could be either system.

Hi All, As I thought about this unless the anti freeze in the heater hose froze and split the line I cannot see how this could have suddenly leaked since there was a high enough coolant concentration.
I am leaning towards a Heater Control Valve which could suddenly split due to age and temperature variation. I tried a search for a heater control valve and could not find any mention. Does anyone have any information on this? Do these units use one? Any info would be appreciated.

Robert get something under the leak, dont let it get into the gen as it could cause some serious trouble. Hard to say but I would suspect the temp control valve.

Thanks Walt, Fortunately it is well away from the Generator and the drip was right on the pavement.
Does anyone know if the Control Valve is in fact located on the Passenger side of the heater core? And if it is the electronic Evans type?

Hi Walt, That does make sense. The fluid seems to follow the Hose which loops or has a low point towards the passenger side from there fluid drips to the ground.
If it were not snowing I would go check. Now to find out a brand and model then where to buy. I don't believe I will be able to start or move the MH until I replace it without clamping the hoses at the rear.

Robert this is from another forum with a 01 Dyn with a leake same as your coach, this is a past of the possible cause.

Walt

Two years ago I had what sounds like (from your description) an identical leak.
I located a hose clamped in the area up at about the level of the tire,
tightened the clamp about one and a half turns. No more leak and I have checked
it frequently since.
