Cruise control problems 2000 dynasty

cruise control problem on 2000 dynasty. sometimes will not set at all,when it does set will drop out often. have sprayed all connectors with de-ox and replaced control unit. (all functions of smart wheel work ok). since applying brakes will cut off cruise control function i am wondering where that "common" point is? any suggestions? Howard R.

have you tried adding ground wire to speedometer.. 99 windsor erratic speedo which caused cruise to drop out. added new ground wire to back of speedo and problem solved.. any other issues noticed with speedo or dash gauges or lights? ?

I had the same problem and finally traced it down to be the spade connectors on the brake switches in the gen bay on the foot brake air manifold, pulled each spade connector tighten it lightly with pliers and reinstalled so far no problem
