On my coach, there are two relays in the front electrical box for Cruise Control functions. If yours is the same, I would recommend replacing both of those relays in case one or both are sticking.

They are cheap (easy to get at any parts store) and would eliminate those as potential issues from the troubleshooting list.

Do you have a system (like Aladdin) where you can see the status of the cruise control inputs? If so, that may help you see if the ECM is receiving a signal to accelerate, set/resume, etc., when it should not.

Check if the Cruise Control button(s) could be sticking. Is it a rocker type switch, or built into the steering wheel (Smart wheel)?

If I remember correctly if your coach has an exhaust brake and if exhaust brake is on it cancels out cruise control.

Cruise control

Got electric wiring map and no relay on cruise. Yes engine exhaust brake does interrupt cruised. Goes directly to engine computer Next step unplug and clean the that plug in and inspect wires for short.

solved cruise control issue

Turns out after spending $700 with Cummins who re-flashed engine computer my cruise still didn't work. I started looking at wires and by absolute luck found the wires above the exhaust brake had been rubbing and broke the cruise control wire. As it was grounded it kept telling the engine to accelerate!!!!
soddered in piece of wire and taped up wire. Cruise then worked perfectly.
Fastened up wire loom so not rubbing.

BAD design traveling and same area heater line sprung pin hole leak due to rubbing.
put in line section and relocated line to stop rubbing. Ever Monaco and HR owner of Neptune type should check.

Are you talking about the wires in the dash panel where exhaust brake "switch" is located, or the wiring in the engine compart?

Sound like engine compartment - I didn't realize the cruise control had wires in the engine compartment. Is there some sort of solenoid that opens/closes the throttle on your engine for the cruise function?

So cruise control is run by the engine computer and has wires to 2 switches on dash. Wire loom is over top of transmission above engine brake servo is where the wires were rubbing also rubbed hole in heater coolant line there later.
