Hello,

A few days ago I brought in my MH for maintenance at the local Cummins shop. I had a small oil leak on the engine. The morning I took it for service, while checking oil level, I've noticed a small 1'' X 2 '' black spot on the radiator. It looked like asphalt or tar.

I've asked Cummins to check that also. So the problem was defective or blown turbo.
They had to replace the turbo, under warranty, but the radiator was leaking. They sent it out and was told the radiator cannot be repaired. I have to replace it.

Cummins says that although the radiator is a result of the turbo problem, that under their warranty policy it's not covered.

My motorhome is an 06 Diplomat with the ISL engine. It's 34 months old and has approx. 28,000 miles.

Does anyone has had a similar experience.

And what policy would that be? How could they admit that one was caused by the other, but they won't do anything about it? Sounds like you may need to start going up the chain of command on this one.

Me thinks they are taking you for a ride..go to Monaco and go to Cummins...the shop just doesn't want to do their job.
