In a 2007 Diplomat are the windshield curtains machine washable or do they need to be dry cleaned? If machine washable, did they need ironing to get the pleats back in?

My wife thought they should be dry cleaned because of the 2 different types of materials. She thought if on decided to shrink it might distort the curtain. Dry cleaning did not remove the grease stains caused by the door closing on them though but the rest looked great after dry cleaning. Maybe someone has washed them and can remark if they came through ok.

Washm in cold water with soap , iron them put'm back up. We did that once. Then have to admit she didn't like the color so she made new ones and thats what we have now. did it when we remodeled the inside.

Hi

We have dry cleaned ours once - came out really nice. Make sure you get quotes from different dry cleaners - the prices are all over the place.

Think we will probably replace them down the road.....kitty likes to squeeze in between the breaks in the panels and they get dirty fast.
Probably go with a darker shade.

Good luck

dw washed ours twice. the first time was primarily to remove some water stains. she washed them in our home washer and they came out good but not perfect. next time she pre treated just the water stained area with spray and wash for whites, rubbed those areas vigorously, threw them back in the washer. this time they came out perfect, no water stains. dw has made the statement she thinks their indistructible. after they were dried we got the ironing board out and together did that duty, they truly never looked as good when new. jim
