Well hell! The situation has taken an ugly turn. Have located a leak in the a/c hose at the fitting at the compressor back at the engine and at the front the schrader valve on the low side is leaking. Looking at replacing the hose and the valve assembly in the schrader valve at the front.
Calling REV parts to see if the have either the complete hose or at least the specs. Not going to be fun !!!

I think you would have better luck at a local shop that specializes in A/C. After I thoroughly cleaned my lines and condenser, replaced the compressor and dryer. I took it to my local shop. He found a restriction in one short lineup front, made up a replacement and installed it and drew down the system and charged it. His charge was $185. System has worked awesome since then.

Mine indicate from the dye that I have the same leak you do. Where the hoses are swedged into the fittings that the service valves are located.

It is a very long run to the front with new hose and not easily done. I agree, not fun and agree, don't go through REV.

There is a chance you can have a new hose spliced on in the field, it is done all the time however (and I am no AC expert) I have read that the hoses sort of break down over time and splicing in a new hose is not a guarantee of success.
That said, might be worth trying before diving into replacing a 40 foot hose!

Also, I assume your condenser is up front, if it is in the rear, well might only have to run 15 feet of hose...
Good luck!

Replacing an A/C hose is going to be a big chore / pain .

I haven't done it but Mike aka ZMOTORSPORTS who is a wiz at anything has
replaced a hose on his coach .

You can read about it on his thread here .

RamiDav, I opened the link you have provided and it is all about a Ford PSD. Nothing about replacing a AC hose ? Think you may have posted the wrong link ??
I would love to find Mikes post about replacing the AC hoses and in fact, I have spent several hours looking for it without success!!
Thanks for trying to help [emoji106][emoji106]

Greg, here is a link to Mikes thread:
http://www.irv2.com/forums/f115/mods...ty-237276.html

Mike has posted 80 pages of repairs and modifications. He is an exceptionally talented machinist, welder, fabricator, and mechanic. Most of the things he does are way beyond us normal humans.

I recommend you find a good AC shop that will crimp a new hose end on your existing hose.

Paulh1955, have you looked for charge ports near the engine A/C compressor? If you do not find them there, recommend you start a new thread.

Greg , the link works for me . Try the one Vito posted although it is the
same . Didn't see any thing Ford . You may need to search out the hose
replacement posts since as I recall it may start down a few posts .

Yes Mike / Zmotorsports makes me ashamed of my projects but then
he is so nice and friendly I wait for his next project .
He needs to stop traveling so we can see more projects
