Does anyone know where the fuse is for the 12 volt power socket on a Holiday Rambler Sceptre? I am mounting my GPS and I have no power. My manual lists a ..12 volt..comp recept..in my fuse box in the lower fuse panel on the drivers side of the coach...Anyone know...Is this a switched power source or what...Hope you can help... we are going to Colorado in three days and I need the power for my GPS or my sat. radio...

Normally cig sockets are not switched. Do you have the wiring diagram for the coach so you can see where the fuse is located?

All of my cig/power outlets are not switched. Not sure where the fuses are as I have never had to replace any of mine.

I have 2 of these outlets mounted side by side in my dash. One worked and the other did not. I pulled the dash panel forward one time to check the instrument grounds and the ground wire on the outlet that did not work had fallen off and the battery wire on the one that did work was about to come off. If you pull the front run panel cover off you should have a fuse location printed on the inside of it. I think some one mentioned on this forum that these outlets had an inline fuse that was not shown on a wiring print. I don't know what a HR Sceptre is similar to in the Monaco line but a lot of people have these wiring diagrams either on a CD or in a PDF fromat. Good luck, George R. 2001 Diplomat

This is a wag but as our year models are close......
In front/left "electrical" compartment - big box with plastic cover - top row of fuses - far left (believe it's # 58) and half hidden behind a relay - 15 amp - NOT labeled cig. lighter. If this does not help, let me know and I will go to MH and reconfirm.

On my 07 Scepter I have a second 12V outlet to the right of the console near the floor. Both of mine are not switched and have been okay . . . for now. If you have drawers in your console see if they can be removed to look at the outlet wiring. That would be easier than lifting the dash.

Thanks guys...# 58 fuse is good...But after pulling the drawers out, I could see the wires leading from the power outlet. There is no fuse and there is no power with a test light..Someone has had this dash apart as there is masking tape marking wires under there...I am wiring a second power outlet beside the driver side to run my gps perhaps I should run a completley new circuit tied in to the one that I am running..Wow we leave in 3 days I gotta do something fast...what does everyone think?? Do these sockets ever wear out and need to be replaced?? Just thinkin....

Is there power TO the outlet, or are you testing the outlet itself?

If its the 12v outlet itself, that's easily replaceable; at Walmart or an auto parts store for just a few bucks.

I found the fuse...The fuse # is 54 and the labeling is...12 volt comp recept. I found it in the driver side outside fuse panel..Many thanks to the Monaco tech line who helped me find this fuse...Perhaps this will help someone else..

Thx Ted

Try F 67. I have the diagram for the 08 Camelot which may be similar.
