Serviced the house batteries today, cleaned all the connections put everything back together, hit the main power switch and no dc power in the coach. Checked battery cutoff switch can hear solenoid still no power. I am thinking bad solenoid or cutoff switch. Any other Ideas?

You say "Checked battery cutoff switch can hear solenoid still no power."

Is this what we also call the "salesman switch"....which is near the entry door? This switch controls a solenoid located in the cargo bay just under the driver.....and this solenoid has a history of failing.

A multimeter (measuring DC volts) will quickly tell you if you've got 12VDC on one terminal of the solenoid but nothing on the other. If this is the case (and you mentioned hearing it click), then maybe it's bad. It won't click if the fuses on this solenoid are blown.

Many of us have chosen to bypass this solenoid rather than replace it.

I find it odd the problem started when you disconnected the batteries, cleaned them, and reinstalled the cables. I don't think I would be looking at a solenoid failing at the same exact time. I would recheck the battery connections to make sure they are correct and look for a cable or wire that fell behind the batteries and didn't get reconnected.

Norm,

Your are so right!! Check the connections, had the main power feed on the wrong pos post. Did a hasty departure from the storage lot yesterday due to thunder storm. Went back this morning pulled the battery tray out there it was right before my eyes!! Thanks everyone for your input!!
