While camping this week, I lost most of what should be powered by the inverter.

Exception that proves the inverter is working is the road side bedroom slide, the TV, DVD, and an outlet work.

Everything forward does not. Bathroom gfi outlet - dead. Salon TV - dead. home entertainment system, ice maker, kitchen outlet, dash outlet - all dead.

I just went thru it with no shore power... all is dead except for that one slide.
I'm gonna turn off all the a/c fuses, see for sure what goes thru there...
I did check the breakers on the inverter - all 3 good.
I don't know how to reset the inverter :(
Everything that's dead remains dead on shore power

While I start digging, any clues?

Losing part but not all of the AC is usually a popped GFIC. I'm sure you reset the GFI in the bathroom, but could you possibly have another GFI outlet, maybe an outdoor, bin or patio outlet?

My Xantrex inverter has 2 breakers built directly into the unit. These act as a subpanel within the inverter circuit. The first time I tripped one of these I didn't know they existed and looked all over for the cause of the problem. You might want to check to see if you have a similar situation.

I looked for a popped gfi earlier. The effected one will not reset, presumeably because it has no input power?
Possibly because it has failed.

First peice of troubleshooting has revealed that The AC outlets in the bedroom slide, the ones that work, are not powered off the main AC breaker panel, all the breakers off, they still work.

the things that work are connected to the magnum inverters output breaker CB1.

under an access panel on the inverter, to the right of it's breakers, is the AC terminal board. Clearly labelled. Load 1 and load 2 both have power, unless I pull the associated breaker.

The wires appear to disappear up into the pass rear corner of the coach, perhaps in the general direction of the main A/C load center?

Ribs. Yum.

I assume your microwave is OK....'cause it usually has a dedicated AC feed from the inverter.

My wiring diagram shows (probably) why your rear TV and a couple of other receptacles are working.....but not at the lavatory recep and points beyond (where "beyond" is the front of the RV). My inverter's output goes straight to the rear TV recep, then to a "J-Box". This junction box located behind my AC load center (it's not the load center itself). I'm guessing that a twist-on wire-nut connection in this box has failed.

mmmmm The ribs were so good I fell asleep!

Thanks robi. That makes sense. I wonder how to access there?
I have a box inside the closet... it's about 2/3 the hieght of the closet, and you can put stuff on top of it.
Water heater is in the bottom of the box, with an access panel on the inboard side. Only wires I saw in there were the A/C to the W/H... I'll look again.

Above the W/H on the front of the box is the A/C breakers, and similar hieght on the inboard side is a 12 volt fuse panel. I don't see any other access up there.

Today I'll look closer back there.
I'll also double verify and write down which devices are on which inverter breaker, and plug in the shore power and map which devices / outlets are on which a/c breaker. I'm thinking (but not positive) that the 2 outlets in the pass side b/r slide (dead right now) are not on the inverter, and there is a gfi outlet at the rear of the front pass side slide that I used for coffee yesterday while plugged in, it's dead now.

And yes, the microwave works fine.

We had a problem that all of the outlets had no power--turns out all the outlets are wired through the GFCI breaker in the bathroom. Resetting that outlet solved the problem. I've had GFCI breakers go bad, apparently due to age.

Well, here's my culprit... popped gfi, down near the floor in the hall going toward the bathroom. Didn't even know there was an outlet there (clonk)
