I have been fighting a strange problem. we have a 2009 Monaco Cayman 35SBD 330 Cummins coach. Occasionally when I turn off the ignition key and go to restart the coach everything is dead. No lights, no ignition key, everything is dead. I figured out that when I shake or depress the brake pedal suddenly I have power. I can't figure what would be connected to the brake pedal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, my rear camera keeps going out, Still has power and right and left turn signals come up on the screen, but the rear camera keeps going out. Hit the power button and back on only to go out in a few minutes.

The roads are bad in Canada and seems the coach gets bounced and shaken so bad, I wonder if it is electrical connect issues.

Ted

Mine had the same problem with the camera when I took delivery..Turned out to be a bad camera connector..and it was located in the arm of the right hand mirror...As for the ignition...it sounds like the connector to the ignition could be loose..If you get on floor under there, you will see wires running right over the brake pedal to it..Push and secure the connector snugly on the ignition and check those wires over the brake pedal to make sure nothing is shorting out....I started cursing when I went under there to put on the part from the Kongsberg recall and saw those wires...what a dumb place to put them..You might also have a bad ground which would give the same symptoms but I'm leaning at the ignition switch itself since you said that brings it back to life..The wires run right over it and one UNDER it too...

I'll check the camera connectors. On the ignition; yoou're saying the ignition switch connector? Take that out and check the back? I can feel the back and checked taht first, nothing until I actually pushed the pedal. Once I just wiggled the brake pedal arm to fix. Is there anything that connects the brake pedal to the ignition switch? that doesn't make sense to me, with air brakes.
