I had a problem that i posted and wanted to post the fix I foiund with Monaco's help. The post was:

I have been fighting a strange problem. we have a 2009 Monaco Cayman 35SBD 330 Cummins coach. Occasionally when I turn off the ignition key and go to restart the coach everything is dead. No lights, no ignition key, everything is dead. I figured out that when I shake or depress the brake pedal suddenly I have power. I can't figure what would be connected to the brake pedal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Turns out the brakes had nothing to do with the fix. The problem was a battery cable issue from the rear right compartment to the front left fuse compartment. There are 2 small red cables that run under the coach and are spliced just above the differential. (Why these use 2 cables instead of one larger one is puzzling). One of those cable connection must have a bad splice. Monaco helped me trouble shoot and gave me a temporary fix of jumpering the 2 red cables together at the front compartment. I'd be glad to expalin further if outhers have a similar problem. This must be a known issue because Monaco knew where to begin the trouble shooting and exactly where the troublsome splice was.

You are not the first one to have this exact problem. It happens in 2007 Diplomats, also. Monaco needs to run a single cable or learn to splice them.

Thanks Luke. We're new to this and keep having small issues like this often. We've been on the road 3 months wuth 5K miles behind us so far. Yesterday we had a leaking of radiator coolant under the coach. After crawling under numerous time I found a splice of a hose running to the heator cor in the fron that was dripping and running the lebgth of the frame and dripping everywhere. I was besdie myself as to where it was coming from until I spent an hour with the engine running on high idle and poking around. I'm sure I'm not the first to find thsi probpem either.

This is the reason that Monaco went bankrupt. Now we will see what they do with Navistar.

By the way Luke, did you actually fix or replace the defective cable splice? My temporary fix was to jumper the 2 cables together in the front. I am stopped for a few weeks and ready to tackle the repair. Just wondering why not just leave the 2 cables jumpered together? I expect they were individually powering parts of the circuit board in the front, but it works fine the way it is, so why mess with it? Thoughts?

Ted,
It was not my coach, it was robin_m's. Here is the thread:
