Determining what the travel height should be.
I have a 2013 Knight 40DFT. I have noticed that when I am aired up & the air bags are in travel mode the right rear appears to be lower than the left rear . in looking at the gauge it shows that the rig is level. How do I find out what the heighth specs should be so when I take it in so I can let them know what to check. Any help is appreciated!

The "ride height" specs are listed in your owners manual. Look at air bag/bellow section. Also shows how to adjust ride height.

The ride height is measured between points on the suspension and really has nothing to do with body height from the road, although usually the body is built so it's level when the ride height is correctly set.

I accidentally found what my full height is on my coach....
Late one night, after being stranded on the freeway for hours due to an accident involving a overturned tractor trailer, I pulled into a Wall Mart were other RVs were parked to get some sleep.
As I entered the parking lot I heard my antenna scrape on something. I realized that I had just gone under one of those bars you see that prevent oversized vehicles. It was set at 12'. That is how I know that my rig, with all the roof vents and etc is just under 12'....
Whew, what a scare....

Hey Dan,
What is the gauge you refer to that says level? The ride height setting sets the distance between the chassis rails and the suspension H frame. It does not level the coach in relation to the surface it's sitting on. The correct ride height should be in your owners literature. In Cape Coral you are south of the two best places in the country to have this checked. If you are still under warrantee then go up to Alliance Coach in Wildwood. If not then Josams in Orlando is also a good choice.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Steve, I was referring to the air leveling system(Trueline Leveling System). I am still trying to locate the specs. My issue is it appears that my fender to wheel clearance is 2 to 3 inches lower on my right rear than the left rear.

I thought the distance between the wheel & the fender should remain the same. Not sure how being even slightly off level would change that since it is maintained by the air bags.

Level and ride height are 2 different animals. You can't measure, or adjust, ride height unless you are on a level surface.

Ride height is set between a point on the axle and a point on the frame behind each wheel. When you find the correct measure, cut a stick or dowel to that length, it's easier than using a tape measure. The measurement should be done on a level surface, I like to find a nice flat pad of concrete. Once you verify that all the air bags are correct, then move inside and put a level on the floor. Then move to a table or counter top to verify they all agree. THEN if you are using the 'level' sensor of your leveling jacks, be aware that can be out of adjustment and your manual should tell you how to set it.

But the susspension system is always doing it's best to keep the body of the coach level, to give the passengers a comfortable ride in the corners.

This is only true if you have active air suspension. What we call air bags are, air springs, and act as such. just to control the spring rate of the axle to the coach. Instead of a metal coil of a pre-determined strength to hold up a car the air bag has a valve system to control a pre-determined PSI which holds up the coach.
I had one coach that would give a loud burping or venting sound when I hit a larger bump (RR Xing @ speed) and that was the now compressed bag venting air so it didn't rupture.

Dan you should have one ride height valve on front and two in the rear park your coach on a level pad and measure the top of the bottom air bag plate to the bottom of the top air bag plate. to get the correct RH specs you will have to call Monaco tec service. There is a list posted here but only goes to 2006, I will attach a old picture of how to set the RH
