Has anyone used a performance chip in a Detroit Diesel Series 60?

This is the only one I have seen for Detroit S-60 and it is $2800. You don't change a chip but you reprogram the ECU.

I do have that info but it is in the MH and most likely it will be a week before I can get it. The other option is to get the serial number of the motor and call Detriot Diesel or call monaco with your VIN number and they will give you the motor serial number. The motor was actually installed for Monaco by Pacific Power Products in Coburg, OR. The head guy there that knows all is Ron Brown. His number is 541.345.8728 or 541.225.2020.

Have you done the recall on that motor for the ECU software to prevent turbo failure and fires? There is also another recall on the coolant level sensor to prevent burning up a $1800 ECU. If you have questions or want copies of the recalls then email me at mike.c@mindspring.com
