Diesel here is selling for $4.59 at most places. My friend called me yesterday and he got it for $4.35 but that 20 miles from me.

Houston Diesel prices are listed as on this site. Quiet a spread..... Where we live, the best I have seen is $4.39 this morning.

Well I drove back to Atlanta, GA from Charlotte, NC this AM. Thought I would update everyone with what I observed along the way. NC prices were still in the $4.45 range. The lowest I saw diesel in SC was north of Anderson -- it was $4.12 cash price at three different places -- Pilot is the biggest one and they were covered up. Crossed the border into GA and saw a QT with diesel at $4.12 cash price -- also saw two more stations at that same price. As I got closer to Atlanta, the prices started to climb again -- "me thinks we are getting 'you know what'" Prices around Atlanta ran from $4.45 to a high of $4.79 a gallon. Really puzzled how prices in the same state can vary $.67 a gallon. All of the prices in GA were better on Hwy 85 -- not off of it and better prices as you got nearer to the SC line. Guess those stations are trying to compete with the SC stations -- gas tax in SC is much lower than both GA and NC.

Just as a short update -- went driving today South of Atlanta toward Jackson, Ga (visiting friends at Jackson Lake) and bought diesel for $3.99 from a shell station -- other prices around here were $4.04 per gallon and $4.14 per gallon.
