Our MH is parked on the other side of town and on the drive over I have seen a Shell station that posted diesel for much less than anyplace in town. Most of the stations in town are $4.39. Since it was so much less I thought it was a come on or they stopped selling diesel and forgot to remove their sign. Earlier this week they advertised $3.93 so I stopped in and lo and behold they are actually selling Shell USLD Diesel for 3.93 per gallon. I immediately drove the MH over (3 miles) and filled the tank. We returned from a trip very late last week and I decided not to stop for fuel so I bought 62 gallons. Another person also filling said he was a regular and never had a problem. Makes you wonder just how much margin there is with fuel and if someone is blowing smoke up our backside. The diesel for this station comes from a local East Texas refinery. Hope their cheap diesel continues.

Well in Houston we are still getting the screws put to us. $4.59 around my area and $4.31 across town. Some is still reported at $4.99.

Same thing for gasoline...big price spread.

Yeah, most stations will hang on to those high prices as long as possible. But, when oil was on the rise they'd hike the price up the next day after a jump in the crude price.

Wow, I hope RV'ers push the State's Top Cops to actually check and see if you are getting ripped off. Something smeels regarding this diesel fuel mess, and it's not in the fuel tank.
I think we are getting ripped off nation-wide on diesel. I dont' know why in heaven's name the White House hasn't capped the pricing on diesel fuel profits. It's killing RV builders, owners, and supply. This is nuts!, $3.95 per gallon to $4.99 per gallon. DocUSAF

That's almost unbelievable for a Shell. In our area they are always at least ten cents a gallon higher than anyone else, any grade.

It's great to see prices going down for a change. Saw a price of $4.15 today at a handi-pak type store where it would be hard to get the MH into. Supermarket across the highway with a fuel station thats easy to get to was still $4.45 and the truck stop 1/2 mi. down the road was $4.29, go figure. Here we live next to the Miss. River, probably 20 refineries in a 30mi. radius and still have to pay these high prices. Didn't pass the WalMart as they are usually the cheapest but a hassle to get into with the MH. I guess Congress will want to investigate us because we're speculators. We're buying while it's semi low betting that it's gonna get more expensive. Maybe I'll get someone to tip off Congress that I'm speculating and I can get a free trip to D.C. on "MY" tax dollar to testify. You remember how the CEOs of EXXON, SHELL, etc. ran circles around those idiots when they were ordered to testify?

Sounds good Dave, but I really wouldn't plan on it. However, if you are called to testify and you need a driver----well, I am available.

I believe that fuel here is ~$4.56. Gasoline is priced at $3.56 - a dollar less expensive!
