Yea I don't think that diesel will go down in price.

Here is another thought.......you could convert your engine to LNG and replace the propane tank with a LNG tank too and run on LNG. We have tons of resources here in the USA for LNG and it’s cheaper and yes better for the environment too.
Yea we are actually toying with the idea of doing this once more LNG stations are available.

I watched a show on CNBC that was showing pickup trucks being converted to LNG. The cost was about 15000, I don't know wu at it would be to convert a diesel.

Weird that they said it was so expensive, my DH works in LNG and we have been quoted much less to convert. I guess we will know how much when we get serious about converting. We will start with our pu first I am sure.

We don't drive long distances and we can buy diesel in Mexico at around .80 a liter. We'll probably only use a tank full until next summer
I don't want to disturb this discussion but can someone explain why diesel in the western states now costs $.75 a gallon more than the regular grade unleaded ?

It doesn't affect my travel distances, but I do tend to back off on speed a bit to get that last .5 mpg (which is like 5% for my coach)

I have the Scan Gauge "D" and I strive for the maximum instantaneous fuel reading to bring up my AVERAGE usage per mile. It's fun and saves money also. I have gotten as high as 16mpg average on a 7 hour trip. Yes I do my BEST to keep the RPM low. I drive with cruise control on and stay in 6th gear overdrive when ever possible. It is exciting for me to see how much mileage I can get out of a gallon of diesel. The only thing better is the view out the panorama window ( like watching the world go by on a I Max Theater screen). deSanford 55 is my speed of choice.

The monthly average price of crude oil fell from $133 per barrel in July to $41 per barrel in December. Monthly average prices of diesel fuel followed suit by peaking in July at $4.764 per gallon and plunging to $1.427 per gallon in November and rising modestly to $2.45 per gallon in December.

My health Insurance costs have risen 40% in the last 2 yrs. I am planning on droping Health Insurance and traveling more with the MH. Gov. will cover my Hospital costs but will not purchase diesel fuel for me. Sound resonable?

You could get free diesel. All you'd need is a siphon hose. That's the way Gov. does it.
