Differential fluid qty
I have a 1998 monaco signature with a roadmaster chassis and my question is: does anybody know how many quarts of differential fluid it holds. It hasnt been changed in years I can't find anything in any of my manuals or online any help would be greatly appreciated.

I checked my owner's manual. I was surprised to find the info not there.
I remember 5 gallons, but I think I also remember it didn't need quite all of it. Possibly a couple of quarts left over.

My Signatures specifies 74W-90 GL-5 differential oil. It came from Monaco with Penzoil Synthetic GL-5/MT-1 Gear Plus Super-EW 75W-90 but I have never been able to find it so I am using te Mobil 1 Synthetic Gear Oil 75W-90. Monaco states that the synthetic is good for 300,000 miles. It is very important that after you fill it that you drive it and get the oil warm and check the level again because the oil flows out into the outer wheel bearing hubs through small holes. To get the oil through these small holes correctly the level has to be maintained all the way to the bottom lip of the filler plug and not a 1/4" or a 1/2" down.

Here is a document that lists oil capacity by model number.
