I know this is a "new to you" rig. You may want to see if it is the same procedure for you rig by checking the owner's manual..

Jeffrey actually read the entire manual in his "spare time" It told him how to check the tranmission fluid but it also said the MOST accurate way was with dipstick and that is how he determined it wasn't attached

I know nothing about dipsticks (well, not the kind you measure fluids with) but had to say Congrats on the BOB wins! Also, EdS... I love those Newfies! We recently went to a winery in Napa Valley whose "winery dog" was a big ol' Newfie, was a Champ in 2000 (I think). He's an old boy now, but boy is he a sweet dog!

OK! Last week I couldn't even spell "dipstick" now I am one.....

The dipstick I remember having was on my 2006 Fleetwood. Monaco assures me that there was never a dipstick attached to the transmission cap. (I guess I can cancel the appointment I set up to have the dealer go get it out of the bottom of the tranny....)

I need to keep the engine door closed....
