Today I replaced the Passengers and Drivers side windows on my 1996 Holiday Rambler Vacationer.

I photographed all the stages of the task. I don’t know if anyone has done this before so I thought I would ask before I take the time to create a post. Is anyone interested in step by step instructions with photos for this job? If you are please respond to the post and I will work up the instructions.

The passenger’s window was the worse of the two. Over the winter the window had gotten so bad it had become a safety issue as far as being able to look out the window when pulling out into traffic. The drivers’ window already had moisture in it so I know it was just a matter of time until it would have to be replaced.

I located the customer service person for Atwood through an older post on irv2 and contacted them. The windows were $70.00 each plus $40.00 shipping. I had the windows in four weeks.

You did a great job with the pictures. You saved yourself a lot of money, someone just made a post the other day looking for a cheaper solution to his fogged driver's window, he was quoted $1,900.00 for the work. I am sure that many appreciate your pictures and could benefit from a write-up.

Thank You

Jim

Thanks for the kind words. I have a few more photos to do today while I finish up the job. I ran out of daylight yesterday. I need to show the trimming and removal of excess Butal tape. As a added measure I also mask off and add an additional seam of clear silicone over the butal seam. I hope to post the rest of the photos tonight.

I am working on a sizable update to the interior and some wheel bearing, seal, and break maintainence along with the regular spring tasks before the summer season so I have a lot of projects going on right now.
