After looking at the new coaches at the rally, most of them had ceiling fans. We got to thinking about it and want to add one to our bedroom. If anyone has one, could you tell me what the diameter of your blades are, how low if hangs from the ceiling and if there is any manufacturer data on it.
Tks

Carl...
You could have hit the "easy button" while you
were at the rally and just bought a coach that had one in it!
Maybe call Northwest RV Supply to see if he has any in stock and for how much...

Mine is 35" tip to tip on the opposing blades (4 blade model) and the blade tip is the lowest point at 6" from the ceiling. The fan is mounted on a 9"x9"x1" piece of wood. Absolutely no manufacturer's name on it.
Do not stand under it to put on your tee shirts. I learned the hard way. That thing will really wack your finger.

Or make the bed! Cat flipped the sheet up from the bottom of the bed and the fan caught it. There was quite a bit of screaming (by her) and laughing (by me) when it happened.

Thank you all for the replies. Now I just have to figure out how to get some wires up to the ceiling.
Most of the fans online are 42 inch, but I did find a couple 36 inch. I get one after I run some wire.
Thanks again
Carl

loranimal -- I have that 12v fan,& wish to heck I didn`t -- Would take it out if I could find something to cover the hole -- I had a 02 Mountain Aire that had a 110v fan & it worked great -- I took it out when I traded MH & would like to install it--Will have to check if the ceiling will support it - It`s the same size as the 12v,but heavier -- Wish you had stopped by while at the rally -- Bill Willard

Ours has the 12 volt fan and we love it. You may find that the wiring is already there for a fan.

loranimal...
I called Joe at NorthWest RV Supply today. It looks like he may have both types of fans -12V and 110V at next to nothing ($30) in stock. He will want to double check though. He will also be getting a lot of stuff from Monaco this next week that has come in from Elkhart.
(I noticed that he has a new web design and this next week the guys there will start putting all the
inventory up on the web...but according to him it will take them until 2037 to get it all in! )

Did you leave the rally early? I went by what I thought was your coach, the 2 Camelots side by side - yours had the rear vent. But you were gone the next day.
Where is your on/off switch located? I think I found some wires in the overhead for the fan but need to track down where the switch wires would be.
Thanks
Carl

Thanks. I will give them a call next week if I get a chance. Couldn't find anything on their website.

loranimal- We left the rally on Wednesday afternoon -- We`re to darn old to walk that much, & the dinner & entertainment start about our bed time, & Monaco had already taken care of our issues -- The switch for the fan is on the left side of the bed, above the wall switches,& elec. recpt. -- If I install the DC fan, I hope to get power from the roof air elec. connection -- It`s about 24' from where the fan mounts -- Bill Willard

Thanks Bill. I found all the wires I needed. Pulled out the 120 outlet by the bed and the fan switch wires were behind it. One ran to the fuse panel in the closet for 12 VDC and the other runs up to the ceiling area where the fan would be mounted.
Now all I need is a fan.
Thanks to all.
Will update when I get the fan installed.
Carl
