Evening,
I think we RV'rs are a funny lot. Ever since we've owned an rv, one travel trailer, two fifth wheels and now a class A motorhome which we always dreamed of having we still like to go to the RV shows and check out the latest and greatest. Does everyone else do this. Please someone stop me before I find something else I want. Off to one tomorrow by the way.

Looks like we need to do an "Intervention" for Loranimal! (NOT!!!)

I think we all go to get "decorating" ideas and to see what else we might have missed that we need to upgrade to...as far as "extras:

Yes we do! Two travel trailers, two 5th wheels, and now our Trek - over 20 years of traveling the West - and we still go to the shows. Must be something in the water!

Got to tell you. The year were ordered that last one in Dec 01 we wnt to San Antino for Christmas. My wife gat a call from her sister and she ask "What are you all doing" My wife said "Well you wont't believe but we are sitting in a RV and are looking at several new ones." Her sister said" I do not understand this - I thought you just ordered a new one"

What more can I say. We never stop looking but we have stopped buying as we promised ourselves this last one we would keep 10 years before we buy again. We have made 5 years and so for not found anything that we "just have to have"

Not any more. We are very happy with our 2006 Beaver Monterey. I just went to the huge RV show in Tampa last month as I was in the area on business. After looking at some $1.5 million dollar coaches I realized my Beaver has everything I want and more. My ceiling is higher and the wood and tile in the Beaver is just as nice as the top of the line coaches. So unless some new technology comes along where a 40' pusher can get 20 MPG highway, Im not interested in looking!

We definitely still attend shows. It is not just the rigs but also all the vendors. I like to keep up with what is being displayed as the latest and greatest in RV accessories. Not to mention I always get a great deal on directories and books by getting them at shows, usually half the price of other means.

RV shows are more addictive than crack, nicotine and coffee combined.

Keep an eye out for a UFO coming to an RV show near you. Both Monaco and Holiday Rambler will be show casing this new rear gas pusher model in the LaPalma and Vacationer lines. Lazy Days recently took delivery of one of the very first units for retail sale.

Ok, I'm going to buy into the 'Keep Going to RV Shows Because___ " argument, because we still do it too. Why? Dunno.

But can anyone tell me why I am so bummed because I am not feeling well enough to go to a local BOAT-SHOW? What is up with that???
