There is something [2-looks like solenoids of some kind on the water line] that I don't know what it is. Can't find it in my manual, but thru reasoning out, it is inline with the water hoses that go from the radiator fan pump thru these items [i have a pic, but don't know how to post a picture]. The electrical connection to them is broken [4 sm wires], and there is an elec line hanging nearby. I am putting the 2 together in mymind as belong to each other.
Not yet but hoping that is the right procedure.

Any ideas on posting a picture so can fix the broken electrical lines?

Offhand, it might be a water temperature sensor that turns on your electric fans.

o.k. here is the image. I uploaded it, now to get it to come up. ha
That could be a good guess on the turning on the fans, but they come on how as scheduled [according to heat].

Those do look like solenoids don't they, Water valves for a thermostatically controlled cabin heater and 2ndary heater perhaps.. Though I'm not sure those are hot water lines. use an infra red pyrometer with the engine running. and see if it comes up to around 20 degrees. But those do look more like solenoids than sensors.

I will try to trace where the lines go to. I know one comes from fan assy into the one on the left. I haven't traced where the one coming from the right is from.

Wild guess here, but could be to bypass the radiator water around the dash heater core during the summer when you are using dash air.

or to simply turn water to the front heater off when using the dash air.

I wouldn't be real surprised if you found they were not associated with anti freeze. To me, the fittings in the picture look like they handle quite a bit more than found in a typical cooling system - but not knowing any more than I do about it - that's just a guess at best.
