Door Seal

The inflatable door seal on our 08 Dynasty is in bad condition. The scissor arm is so loose it chewed a hole in the rubber bulb. Other than Monaco does anyone know a good source? I might be able to repair it with black silicone but would prefer a new seal. Thanks

Thanks NHRA. I have been on that website before. Needs to be an "inflatable seal". I couldn't find any on their site.

Never searched BUT had a small leak due to some one having the deadbolt out and closing the door. Several light coats of Star Brite liquid electrical tape have held for several years. It only has about 4psi to inflate. Unhook it at the Mac valve while the stuff sets up if you can't leave the door open for some reason.

Hate that scissor thing too. :(

I bet the guys at Elite will have some ideas for that seal. Also they can fix your scissor arm so that it is tight again, I had them do mine while I was there as well.

Many of us have tossed the swing arm and installed the piston rods on the outside. Works great.

I would love to retrofit my door with an inflateable gasket. Anyone done that?

I had NO idea that there was an "inflatable" door gasket. That would surely keep any door vibrations quite. Sanford

I would also look at doing that. I put NAPA SILGlide silicone lube on the gaskets and that helped a bunch.

If I remember correctly there are two door seals on those units. The outer one does not inflate but the inner one does. Normally if you close the door with the dead bolt out it damages the outer non inflatable one

Elite repaired my scissor arm and fixed the door gasket. That door seal is almost $1000 from Monaco. So far no one has found a source.

Marv, This may not be the exact one, but it's a place and vendor to look at.
