Doorbell Location, 04 Dynasty 42' Regal

Does anyone happen to know where the actual doorbell unit is located on any Monaco model? Specifically on an 04 Dynasty. I've looked and looked; considering that it does not work - listening doesn't help! The wire from the switch disappears immediately. I've been unable to trace it with a signal generator and cable locator. I called the factory and they told me it would typically be mounted above the driver's or passenger's head. No joy! Does anybody have experience with locating the doorbell in their coach?

Mine is mounted in the cabinetry under the main bathroom sink. If Monaco was consistent maybe it will be nearby in yours.

Ours is located in an upper cabinet above the table in our galley.
When the doorbell stopped working, I thought the push button was the problem but when I found the unit in the cabinet I discovered it was powered by 2 "C" batteries which I replaced and problem solved.
Good luck in your search....

My 02 Executive is located in overhead cabinet just to right above stove, I had to replace button to get mine working again.

Thanks! Good info, I've checked those locations and every other location I can think of and/or find... still no joy. The manual that came with the coach is for a NuTone name brand. It shows an AC Transformer, but I would guess they were able to eliminate that and use 12-volt to power the solenoids. There is no fuse labeled ”doorbell” and no fuses are blown.

1. Were yours visible or behind panels?
2. Powered with AC transformer or house 12 vdc?

I believe there's only one place left. A kitchen cabinet that requires a removal of two shelves and a screwed in side panel. Behind that there is a void about 7” deep. The process of elimination places strong odds on this space. The suspense is killing me!

Ours is fairly visible but way at the back of the cabinet. You would need to stand on a stool to see it.
As I said ours is powered by simple batteries.
Iver.

When you looked under your vanity sink, did you get on your knees and look really high beside the sink at the top of the wall of the cabinet? That is where ours is, and it hides well from a first glance. And yes, it is a standard residential Nutone device.

On our '06 Dynasty, the fuse for the doorbell is on a fuse strip in the same cabinet as the Intellitec modules and boards. If you can find the fuse, replace it, have it hold, and ring the bell you can find that hidden little bugger once and for all!
