How do I remove the drawer under the "J" lounge? My lounge is in great shape but we want to sell it and replace it with a recliner... Anyone know the trick to remove the drawer slides and the lounge?

Thanks Lee

LeeB...I know of two ways the drawers are locked into place - hopefully one of these will help you...
  • One way is where the side drawer slides come together... on one side is a little lever in the front that you pus down and on the opposite side you will have the same type of lever that goes up/ You have to hold these up/down as you slide the drawer out.
  • The other is that there are little clips on the top of the slides. You must push those in while you lift the drawer up.
Look for either one of these items on the drawer glides.

I hope this helps ...Good Luck & Happy Selling!!(PS... don't forget to post the J-Lounge in the free classified section here! )

Thanks I will take a closer look. I know it's not the little levers. That's how the drawer is under the radio in the dash.

I have posted on Craigslist right now and will post here also...

I just removed mine and replaced with recliners. The sofa is attached to the floor with 4 lag screws. Remove sofa. Then remove the 4 lag screws on the drawer. Hope you have better luck selling yours, mine is still in the garage.

A year ago, I removed the J Lounge and replaced it with a recliner. The drawer comes out, unbolt it from the floor and take the sides off. Then it will fit out the door (with the help of a strong friend or neighbor). I advertised mine in the newsletter at my storage yard and it now lives inside a 5th wheel. I placed the recliner on a kitchen mat (Wal-Mart) which keeps the base from "imprinting" the carpet and also allows the recliner to be moved away from the wall when parked and the slides out. Craigslist is also very good in my area if you price the item "to sell".

I know there has to be a trick to getting the drawer out using the slide mechanisms but i'll be darned if I can't figure out how. I see the lag bolts that attach the couch to the floor but removal of that Da%# drawer has me bugged.

Thanks for help....

Ok my bad, I clicked the link in the post above and looked at the link. What color is your J lounge. I an thinking of getting rid of my recliner and putting the J lounge instead if I have the room. Unfortunately I cannot measure to see if a J lounge would fit, but can check later or tomorrow.
