Driver and Passenger Seat Upholstery Cost
Hello Everyone
Our Captain's chairs look a bit shabby it is time for reupholstery. I am planning to remove the chairs from the base, and then take them to a good local shop in San Francisco Bay Area -so due to our location, it's not going to be cheap
I am looking for folks who has done similar work in the past year or two who are willing to share their costs and experiences that I can use for a baseline when I am dealing with the local shops.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not your area but we had ours done by Specialty Sewing Senter in Yuma AZ last October; $1700 for both chairs. They have before and after pictures on their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/SpecialtySe...type=3&theater

Take a look at this thread and check with tinstar 1114 to see if he is still happy.

He used a company called Fibrenew and it cost him @$400. Checking their site, they do have reps in your area.

We used Fibrenew to refinish the seat bottoms on our driver's and passenger's seat. We were very pleased with the results and after a couple of trips they seem to be wearing pretty well too. We paid $400 for both.

I also used Fibrenew to re-do my front seats in San Diego. They came out looking good as new. I had them done over a year and about 12,000 miles ago and they still look great. The man who did the work said they should last 6-7 years.

Had both of ours done last year in Goshen, IN. Cost was $450.00 each and they look like new now.

Thank you, Brian, Ken, Dennis, Chuck and Chet.
I've decided to go with Fibrenew. Actually I called them first, got a quote, but ended up using a similar home-based leather refinishing business.
I had to remove both seats, drive 30 mins to deliver and then pickup after 3 weeks. It cost $425 for both seats. So far, I am satisfied with the results. I will try to remember to post an update after 6 months.
Here are the before and after pics. Hopefully it will stay like this for at least a few years with proper care.

Glad it worked out for you. I had to remove my co-pilot seat, to lay it on its back to make a repair to its wiring.
Boy was that chair heavy. I would say it was well over a 100 lbs. No way I could get that chair out of the coach by myself. I could barely lift it up to get it back onto the mounting studs.
How hard was it to get your chair out of coach?

I am about to tackle the seats in my wrecked 2004 Camelot project with leather dye.... If it works out I will share the process.
