Question Driver's Seat Pedestal

I have a 2004 HR Ambassador. The driver's seat pedestal is loose allowing the seat to rock. I have pulled the seat and removed the pedestal from the floor to try and fix it. I have tried to reposition and reset the bearings however this did not work. Is there anyway to replace the bearings without having to buy a new pedestal?

Smile Thanks...

Thanks for the suggestion. However, I fixed the problem. I had to remove the seat from the pedestal (6 small bolts held it in place) and found that the that the cotter key holding the nut in place that secured the swivel plate had broken. Each time that I swiveled the seat the nut would loosen up more each time. By the time I got to it the nut and swivel plate were very loose and a couple of bearings had fallen out. I removed the pedestal and placed it on a work bench and then removed the nut and got enough space between the swivel plate and the bearing plate to replace the bearings that had fallen out. However you must insure that the bearings (6 in all) are all placed in the bearing ring and that the bearings are aligned in the retainer ring. I greased all the bearings and then lowered the swivel plate back down on the bearings and tightened the nut to hold it in place and inserted a new heavy duty cotter key. The seat now works as designed.
