Over the years I've had to access the inside panel under the driver's window on several occasions. I took it off the other day to look/service the parking brake switch. It ALWAYS aggrevated me when reinstalling it. The screw holes never lined up and the screw cap covers were a pain. I finally broke down and changed the screws to hangar bolts Hanger bolts at Bolt Depot and then used threaded knurled knobs to secure the panel.

I enlarged the holes in the panel to an 1/8", double nutted the bolt hangars, set the panel into place and used a drill with socket to drive the bolt hangars into the proper depth. Once one was set, the other three were a snap. It's now easy to R&R the panel. You can paint the knobs tan to hide them even more.

I know this isn't a major deal, just an annoyance I got tired of.
