One solution would be to stop into a auto glass shop. Many have 1/8 mirror in stock. They can trace a paper pattern off your surface. Cut around the paper pattern. Then lay it on the mirror. Trace around it with a fine felt tip pen. Then they can cut it out of the 1/8 mirror. They will also have a wet belt sander to put a nice edge on it. I was in the glass business for many years and have done hundreds of these before. Not a big deal for someone who knows how. Only problem in doing it this way, the factory mirror has a very unnoticeable tint to it. It will make the headlights behind you a little brighter than your old mirror.
