I've been trying to find my dry weight with no success. A public scale is no where around.
Does anyone know the dry weight of a 2005 Monico LaPalma?
Thanks,
Marty

Marty,

Since you can't weigh your coach right away then you will have to rely on Monaco's weight sheet which should be glued to a wall inside a closet somewhere. The info on the sheet has changed in it's wording over the years due to changing requirements.

There should be a weight labeled GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) which is the max loaded weight your vehicle is designed to carry. There should be a weight labeled CCC (cargo carrying capacity ). If you subtract the CCC from the GVWR you will have the average dry weight of that particular configuration of motorhome.

You should get an exact weight as soon as you can. Until then use the GAWR (gross axle weight rating) to set your tire pressures.

Hi Steve

The only plate I found gave me GVWR of 24000 lbs than broke it down to GAWR front 9000 lbs and rear GAWR 15500 lbs. Really not much help.....

Marty - If you go to the Monaco archives, you can get the "generic" weights for your motorhome - This will give you an approximation, the gross limits will be valid, but your exact unit can vary based on options, loading, etc, for actual weight.

Good Luck

Thanks all for your help. I contacted Monico directly and they told me when my coach left the factory with 1/2 tank of fuel it weighed 20230 lbs.

howie-2005...Your coach originally came with a weigh sheet attached to the inside of a bathroom cabinet or possibly a kitchen cabinet. The previous owner may have removed it. You can email Monaco with your coach number and request a copy of the weigh sheet. You should also request a "data card" which will list all of your motor home major components along with their serial numbers. They're both handy to have.

Who drives around dry with 1/2 tank of fuel. My coach weighs 30,500 lbs and I need the front and rear weight to air up tires to handle the load.
