Dynasty Diamond 42 IV: Removing pleated covering on front of passenger side slide

Monaco placed a pleated cloth covering on the front side of the front passenger slide hiding the mechanics for the slide. The issue is that I can't figure out how to remove the pleated cloth. Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks!

Mine’s just held in with screws on the wall side. You have to work your way thru the pleats to get to the last pleat. Pretty well concealed.

On my CC they are riveted to an aluminum bar. Same idea, different method. The wood fascia is held on with spring loaded cabinet latches.

What Falconman said, and the screws are under the last pleat on the wall side. I did not check the slide side of it. I had to adjust the floor rollers on that slide over the weekend. I did not remove that pleated cover to look at the slide mechanism. I know that mine is missing a couple of the plastic wheels, as I have picked up the pieces on the floor over time. Let us know what you find behind there. The other end would be the worse of the two to work on I bet. Happy Trails Bert

falconman and Jobert are correct. There are screws holding the strip to the wall of the motorhome and they are well hidden. The strip is also spring loaded and will unexpectely retract. When the slide goes in or out there is a creaking noise. So far I have not found the source, it was definitely not behind the pleated cloth. It may be as simple as the slideout seals need to be lubricated, especially at the top. I tried to lubricate the seals from the inside of the MH but that didn't get rid of the creaking sound. I may have to remove the slideout cover and lubricate the seal from the outside.

Let me know what works for you. Mine has started to squeal also. I’ve lubricated all the pivot points with no luck. The noise seems to be coming from the top also so I’m a bit confused on what to do next.
