The electric step cover on our 2009 is stuck out. It appears to have no power. I checked the fuse bay on the front drivers side and fuse F3 is good (that is the fuse labeled step cover). The coach has a step cover switch at both the passenger and drivers side. Any help would be appreciated-for someone my age its a bit difficult to get in and out of the coach.

Check underneath the cover and see if something is jammed. We had the cover from the hollow step get caught and it blew a fuse. Just a thought.

My DH has asked me to pass on the following information - courtesy of drawings from Happycarz!

Go back out to the outside front run fuse panel (where F3 fuse is)and take a look at the following 3 fuses:
  • F56 (5Amp) Step Cover
  • F60 (15 Amp) Step Controller
  • F61 (20 Amp) Step Controller
F3 is listed as the Step Cover Battery .. I bet it is the F56 fuse. Please let us know if this helps! Good Luck !!

I tried each of the fuses listed above. Unfortunatly all were good. The step cover is still stuck out. Any additional help will be appreciated.

Bench,

I have not looked on the Diplomat but on a previous motorhome we could reach under the step cover and manually turn the lead screw to move the step. Granted, you would not be able to keep your arm under there to get the slide all the way back but you might be able to move it far enough to help ingress/egress. We were also able to figure out out to completely remove the step cover on that coach. Like I said, I have not looked at how Monaco does it.
