Last weekend we were camping here in Tennessee and our site only had 30amps. I knew this and only ran the front A/C which worked real well. My wife was cooking and used the Microwave and I noticed the A/C turned off while the Microwave was on. I have always been told it is not good to just shut off the A/C while running. My question is does this action hurt the unit? Our coach is new to us and I have never had the EMS system.

Thanks Lee

My EMS system selectively shuts down electrical loads (ACs, microwave, heater, washer/dryer, etc) if there's not enough juice. Have it happen a few times running 50 amp when wife wanted to wash clothes, run ACs, and dry hair. Guess it doens't hurt the units as that's what the EMS is designed to do???

Turning off the AC shouldn't cause a problem. Turning it on again without a chance for the compressor to 'relax' might.

i.e. if you shut down the AC, wait ten or fifteen minutes before you turn it back on.

Check the intellitec board as when you plug into 30 amp, the selector may default to 20 amps and that's why what's happening is happening..You need to press that selector to select 30 amps.
