I have a 1996 Holiday Rambler 34' Endeavor LE. Only 17000 miles. Two questions: Original michelin tires appear to be in great condition. Unit always garage kept. Are tires OK to continue using. Also, experienced a front-end shakeing that was quite bad when slowing to a stop the other day about 40mph). Steering wheel shook violently. What is this?

Hi and welcome to the forum! I have moved your post here in the Monaco owners forum where you'll get more knowledgeable views.
I'll leave the front end shaking question for others for your tires will have to go. You won't find many people supporting the use of RV tires beyond 10 years max.

I don't think you should drive that coach anywhere until you replace the tires. Tires on our coaches do not wear out, they rot out from the inside.
I think it's a good idea to start thinking about new tires when the tires are about five years old, and finally change them before the tires are seven years old.
The shaking could be a tire coming apart.

Do not drive that coach any further than the nearest tire replacement center, and don't drive it very fast then. Those tires are shot. I believe that the front tires are comming apart, like the previous poster said.

wow. To look at these tires one would have the opinion they are in very good shape. Unit hardly driven and garaged kep. Other than the two quick episodes, the unit drives down the highway great, in balance and true. Will take advice though and get new tires. Thanks.
