We have a 2009 Camelot withe a Progressive Industries surge protector and the standard Energy Management System. I'm pluged into 50 amp and my surge protector readout shows all is fine with 120+ volts on both lines. The EMS however is in the shedding mode jumping between 30 and 50 amps. This happened once before and I stumbled into an easy fix but age has caused me to forget what that was. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Make sure your connections on each leg are tight...it sounds like the EMS is not seeing one leg or has a loose connection...Can you take the surge protector out of the loop and see if plugged straight into 50 A the problem stops? (not permanently but as a trouble shooting device)...I think there is a chord like device going into the EMS that you just have to disconnect and reconnect...not sure as I never had to do that.

Something like this happened to me and I cycled the circuit breakers and this solved the problem. I think it was the front air conditioner CB. It happened twice about a year ago but not since.

Thank you. Turned circuit breaks on and off one at a time and that fixed it. I hope I can remember that when it happens again.

Same thing happened to us on our last trip. Cycling the interior panel AC breakers or at the outside supply pylon seemed to correct the issue.
