pac brake switch

The Dayton switch that is referenced above (Dayton 6GPC3 Foot Sw) is monentary switch not the ( mantained ) on/off that I used in my upgrade..

I really enjoy not having to keep my foot on the switch!

I installed an exhaust brake footswitch and used a Linemaster 491-SC36 switch. If you order it straight from Linemaster, you will pay about half of what the retailers get for it. This is a momentary switch which is what I prefer. Got a wiring schematic for my motorhome from Monaco and saw that there are 2 circuits that need to be switched for the exhaust brake. Went to Radio Shack and bought a simple 12vdc 10 amp automotive relay and wired it up in parallel to the console exhaust brake switch. I built an inclined footrest for my left foot and mounted the footswitch in the middle of it towards the top. It's so nice to not have to take my eyes off the road to find the console switch and then take one hand off the wheel to turn it on and then turn it back off when it's not needed any more.
