On the Cummins 325 engines (8.1L?), where the heck do they hide the engine number. The service center asked for the number for some warranty issue and I crawled into places and positions that I have not tried since my mid-twenties! No number.

Good morning Ron,
The engine serial number is located in two places on your 8.3L. 1) On a data plate located on the top side of the gear housing. (Streetside - front) It is the top number on the right side of the plate. 2) On the engine block on top of the lubricating oil cooler housing. (streetside).

Green lights and soft breezes,

If all else fails, try Monaco. I know they had all of my coach serial numbers in their database.

Ahhhhhh, I found the plate on the tranny side of the engine but thought it was Allison info only. Better go back and re-look that.

Thanks guys....

Ron I hope you do not have that sawzall out cuttig a big hole in the side of the coach to find it you need to keep working on new members to give up their coaches so you only have to test the new ones. I hope you have got it fixed so you are ready to go. Greg

I have yet to find where that number is hidden. I was going to contact Monaco, but the shop is sending one of their guys by here to get it. Bet anything it is in plain view and so obvious that it's invisible to me!

Anyone know where I can get color-matching touch-up paint? I got the fiberglass pretty much patched back but the sawzall really buggered up the edges of the cutout.

Ron, good luck in finding touch up paint for your Monaco coach. I've tried every source I could find and none of them were able to produce the right color. :-) If anyone knows of a reliable source please let me know.

As Flyer mentioned, give Monaco a call. They should be able to give you a printout from their database that has the model and S/N's of every appliance/item that went into your unit.

(not that it helps much, but I even know the date my toilet was made )

On the touch up paint...a gentlemen named John Knight from Buddy Gregg Motorhomes in Lewisville, TX contacted me after seeing one of my posts about not being able to find touch up paint for my coach. I sent him a picture of my coach along with the model # and paint scheme that's on it and their boby shop was able to match it. They sent me a generous sized bottle of it with a brush cap on it for $20. The match was excellent.
