Help,

There is a plastic hook on the inside of the entry door, under the window, that the screen door latches to so the screen door and the entry door can be operated together. When you want to leave the entry door open and use the screen door, the screen un-latches from the hook.

My hook is broken.

Does anyone out there have any idea where these hooks might be available?

Thanks for your help.

GB

Not sure at all, but could you glue two light magnets, one to the frame, and the other to the swinging door, and have that work for you.

Actually, now that I think of it, I should try the same on our screen door. From the outside, I have to use the handle, but from inside I have to slide the bug slide and then open the handle from the outside... Now if it was magnetic, I could just push or pull.....hmmmm

GB,

I'm not at the motorhome to check this out, but is it this TriMark latch?

Yes this is a good way of doing it. I had arranged my screen door exactly like that on my 5 wheel trailer and it worked fine. I think I'll do it again on my motorhome.

Glenn,
I don't know how creative you are but when my hook broke on my '02 Endeavor I crafted one from some light weight steel plate. I used the broken one as a template/pattern. I kick myself for not swapping it out when I got my '07 Endeavor.
